YouTube, the Google-owned video network, has over a billion subscribers — about one-third of all Internet users — and users watch hundreds of millions of hours on the site every day, generating billions of views. YouTube reaches more 18-34 and 18-49 year-olds on mobile than any cable network in the United States.
What's amazing is that only 9% of small businesses in the United States use YouTube, and I'm guessing that figure is quite accurate globally as well.
So, why aren't corporations using YouTube into their social media strategies?
In other words, video is more difficult to create than a blog post or an image.
Or, at least, that's how many of us see it.
In actuality, though, video production is getting lot simpler and less expensive. This means that YouTube presents a tremendous possibility for your company.

You may watch, share, and comment on YouTube videos if you have a Google account. Google accounts, on the other hand, do not automatically create YouTube channels. However, setting up a new channel is a straightforward and quick procedure.

5. Customize Channel
Creating a new channel name will also create a new Google account with its own preferences and YouTube history, as you can see from the options at this phase. This account is linked to your main Google account and may be managed entirely through Google settings. It's really useful because you can use it to like and comment on other YouTube videos as well as participate in YouTube as your business.
You'll have the option to further customize your channel after this step. You'll find choices for:
- Adding a photo to your profile
- Adding your channel's description
- Custom connections to a website or blog, as well as social links to Instagram or Twitter, can be added to your webpages.

Ways to enhance YouTube Channel
1. Optimize your Description
YouTube provides you with a section on your channel where you may write a little about your business and the YouTube content you post. Because the description is limited to 1,000 characters, you have some leeway here.
The copy in your channel description will not only appear on your channel page, but it will also appear in your channel description. It's indexed by search engines and appears in suggested channel categories and search results on YouTube. Including some relevant keywords and CTAs in the first few lines of your description is a solid strategy.
Also, pay careful attention to the first 100-150 characters. The remaining text may be reduced depending on where the description appears.
2. Add Channel Trailer
You want to offer viewers a sense of the type of content your channel covers and why they should subscribe and watch your videos as soon as they arrive. This is best accomplished through the use of a channel trailer.
A brief, to-the-point channel trailer can be an excellent method to promote your material to new viewers. A channel trailer should catch people's attention right away and showcase the type of material you produce on YouTube.
It's also crucial to consider the description you write for this video, as it will appear prominently on your channel's homepage.
(Only viewers who haven't subscribed to your channel will see these trailers.)
3. Add your contact details (email address)
If you use YouTube as a business or a creator, having your contact information on available for anyone who is interested in your work may be quite helpful. Each channel profile on YouTube offers an area where you may list your contact information for business queries.
To Add Contact Address, follow steps below..
1. Click on "Customize Channel"
